Abstract of the Will of Hugh Vaughan of Tonfaney in the Parish of Llangelynin in the County of Merioneth, Yeoman, written 18 Mar 1789, proved 27 Oct 1789.

Gives and bequeaths £30 each to his eldest son Hugh Vaughan and to his daughter Ann the wife of Edward Jones of Rhydgaled in the Parish of Pennal in the said County of Merioneth, yeoman.

Gives and bequeaths £80 to his son John Vaughan upon Trust that he will pay to Hugh's daughter Elizabeth the wife of Hugh Thomas the yearly interest of the said £80 at the rate of £4 10s. per £100 during her natural life for her sole and separate use.

Gives and bequeaths £60 to his son John Vaughan upon Trust that he will pay to Hugh's daughter Margaret the wife of John Thomas the yearly interest of the said £80 at the rate of £4 10s. per £100 for a year for her sole and separate use. And after her decease the said sum to his grandson David Roberts, tanner, Elizabeth's son by her former husband deceased.

Gives and bequeaths £60 to his son John Vaughan upon Trust that he will pay to his daughter Catherine wife of David Davies of Towyn in the said County of Merioneth the yearly interest of the said £80 at the rate of £4 10s. per £100 for a year for her sole and separate use.

Gives and bequeaths £150 to his wife Catherine Rees otherwise Vaughan secured by mortgage or demise on Tyddynmirick Estate in Llangelynin.

Also leaves and bequeaths to his said wife a moiety or half part of all the household goods, linen and furniture.

Nominates, constitutes and appoints his said son John Vaughan sole Executor of his last will and testament, to whom he gives and bequeaths all the rest, residue and remainder of his goods, chattels and personal estate.
