Marriage Notes:
"Holy Innocent's Anglican Church, Rossmore, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Thursday evening, the 18th inst., when the marriage of Mr. J. A. Thompson, eldest son of. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Thompson, of Bringelly, to Mary Alice (Ada) third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jolm Fryer, Bringelly, was solemnised by the Rector, Rev. A. Reeves. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W.. Fryer, entering the church on his arm, wore a beautiful trained gown of white charmense satin, yoke and sleeves of rollover silk lace, the trimmings of pearl appligue embroidery, also wearing the usual bridal veil with wreath of orange blossoms, and carrying a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and asparagus fern. She was attended by one bridesmaid only, Miss Olive Fryer, sister of the bride, dressed in white Swiss muslin. Mr. H. Switzer, Sydney, acted as best man. "The voice that breathed o'er Eden," was sung by those present as the bride entered the building, and as the marriage party left, the "Wedding March" was played on the organ by Mrs. Reeves. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of the bride's parents, many guests assembling, after which Mr. and Mrs. J. Thompson travelled by motor car to Sydney, where the honeymoon was spent; the bride's travelling dress being navy blue cloth coat and skirt, with hat to match. The presents were many and valuable." 7
