Jane SAUNDERS

   Another name for Jane was Jane SANDERS.

In 1871 Jane Sanders (41) of Camborne, single, work on farm, was staying with her widowed aunt Mary Meriton* (68) of Camborne, on College St., Camborne.

* The same as Mary Saunders who married John Martin in 1826 and the John Meriton in 1854.

In 1881 Jane Sanders (51) of Camborne, single, farm servant, was living at Back of College St., Camborne.

In 1891 Jane Sanders (46) [sic]* of Camborne, single, farm labourer, was staying with her sister Elizabeth Cock (72) of Camborne, widow, charwoman, and her family.

* At first I thought this couldn't be the same Jane Sanders. However, one of the people present was Elizabeth's daughter and widow Esther Richards (31) of Breage, with whom Jane was staying in 1911 (see below) and was called her aunt. Hence Jane simply understated her age in this Census (and then some!)

In 1901 Jane Sanders (69) of Camborne, single, domestic servant, was living at Ashton Breage.

In 1911 Jane Sanders (79) of Camborne, single, was staying on Rinsley Lane Ashton Breage with relative (niece) Hester Richards (50) of Breage.

Jane Sanders of Rinsey Lane Breage died aged 75 years (burial record). The informant on Jane's death gave the incorrect age (closer to 82). No other Jane Sanders is listed in either the burial register or the GROE Death Index for Breage or the surrounding parishes, and the Censuses show only this Jane living in Rinsey Lane in 1911.
