Mr. John Bailey
At his home in Dorribong Street, Trangie, on Tuesday, Mr. John Bailey passed away at the age of 88 years.
Born at Llanfaircaerion, North Wales, the deceased, migrated to Australia at an early age, and spent the remainder of his life in the Western districts of New South Wales. For many years he engaged in business as a produce merchant, and later became a farmer and grazier. He married Fanny O'Donnell at Emmaville in 1886 [sic].
The deceased is survived by his widow and the following children: John (Manly), Arthur (Dubbo), Roderick (Trangie), Mavanwee Sylvia (Mrs. L. W. Jones), Geurie, Fanny (Mrs. J. P. Carlin), Trangie, Ellen (Mrs. J. P. Jones), Sydney, and Jenny (Mrs. E. Kelly), Nyngan. He was predeceased by two children, Artwell and Gwendolin.
After a service in the Trangie Church of England on Wednesday, the funeral moved to the Church of England section of the Trangie cemetery. The Rev. G. Leonard officiated both at the church and at the graveside. 3
