Marriage Notes:
"WOOLCOCK-GENTLE.
The marriage of Mr. Vincent Henry Woolcock (only son of the late Mr. William Woolcock, of Home Hill, formerly of Charters Towers, and of Mrs. Beatrice Woolcock, Townsville), and Miss Kathleen May Gentle (twin daughter or Mr and Mrs. H C. Gentle, Camp Hill, Brisbane) was solemnised by the Rev. B. Frederick, assisted by the Rev. W. S. Bath, in the West End Methodist Church, Brishane. last Thursday evening. Mr. R. J. Archibald presided at the organ, and during the signing of the register, Miss Estelle Alexander (cousin of the bride) rendered a vocal solo (says the 'Brisbane Courier'). The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in ivory satin and angel skin lace, cut on classical lines. Her Madonna cap of old point lace was from her mother's wedding gown. Her veil, which fell to form a train, was of tulle, and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums, carnations, and tuberoses. Miss Beryl Gentle attended her sister as bridesmaid. She was frocked in coral pink georgette, made on close-fitting lines, to which she added a ring velvet cape trimmed with gold sequins. She also wore a coronet of gold lace and autumn-tinted flowers in her hair, and carried a bouquet of Rev. Page Roberts roses and autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. Little Miss Edris Walters (cousin of the bride) acted as train-bearer. She wore a frock of pink georgette, and carried a floral muff of pale pink carnations. Mr Winston Harper carried out the duties of best man. Later, a reception was held at the Cafe Majestic, where the bride's mother received the guests wearing a frock of grey elephant cloth, trimmed with purple. Her hat was of grey velour and she carried a bouquet of violet sweet peas and purple gladioli. The bridegroom's sister (Mrs. D. D. Miller. Townsville), chose blue crinkly crepe with steel trimmings. She added an eye veil to her mastic cocktail hat, and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted roses. On leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent in Cairns and the Tablelands, Mrs. V. H. Woolcock wore a travelling ensemble of Lido blue crinkly crepe, relieved with white, and a Lido blue velour hat." 3
