In 1861 Edward Dangerfield, aged 23, born in Cheltenham Gloucestershire, lieutenant R.S.M., was with his parents in Warwick House, Cheltenham.

In 1871 Edward Dangerfield, aged 33, born in Cheltenham Gloucestershire, colliery proprietor, and wife Mary Jane, aged 27, born in Scotland, were living in Clyncollen House, Llangyfelach Glamorgan Wales. With them were children (born in Llangyfelach) Edward (5), Marianne Margaret (4), and Lucy Anstruther (2) of Oystermouth Glamorgan.

In 1881 Edward Dangerfield, aged 43, born in England, factor, and wife Mary J, aged 37, born in Edinburgh Midlothian, were living in Blairgowrie Rd., Scone, Perthshire Scotland. Present were daughters (born in Wales) Marianne M (14) and Lucy A (12).

Edward married Mary Jane Anderson, daughter of Thomas Anderson, esq. and Mary Anne Caird, on 21 Jan 1864 in Fairlie House, Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland. (Mary Jane Anderson was born on 17 Apr 1843 in St. Cuthbert, Edinburgh, Scotland.)
