Age largely understated through the Censuses.
In 1841 Edwd. Dangerfield, aged 31, born in the county, farmer, and wife Margt. Dangerfield, aged 31, not born in the county, were living in Hyde Farm, Prestbury Gloucestershire. With them were son Edwd. Dangerfield Junr. (4) and [niece] Sarh. Gillett (18).
In 1851 Edward Dangerfield, aged 43, born in Gloster, land proprietor, and wife Margaret Dangerfield, aged 40, born in Marlborough Wiltshire, were living at The Hyde, Prestbury Gloucestershire. With them was [Margaret's niece] Sarah Gillett (28) of Oxford, unmarried, annuitant.
In 1861 Edward Dangerfield, aged 58, born in Gloucester Gloucestershire, landed proprietor, and wife Margit Dangerfield, aged 57, born in Marlborough Wilts, were living in Warwick House, Cheltenham Gloucestershire. With them were son Edward (23), lieutenant R.S.M., and niece Sarah Gellett (38) of Oxford, unmarried.
In 1871 Edwd Dangerfield, aged 60, born in Gloucester Gloucestershire, no occupation, and wife Anne, aged 45, born in Birmingham Warwickshire, annuitant, were living at 34 Elgin Road, Kensington London. With them was Edward's mother-in-law Elisabeth Westbury (75) of Birmingham, widow, annuitant.
