MELANCHOLY BOAT ACCIDENT.—While James Willey, of Poltescoe, and his son, two men highly respected and beloved in this neighbourhood, were fishing near the Lizard, in the afternoon of Tuesday last, their boat accidentally upset, throwing them both in the water. By means of the masts, sails, &c., they managed to get on the side of the boat which did not right herself, but by the dashing of the waves the father unfortunately lost his hold and was drowned. The son, after being underwater several times, and being ready to sink through exhaustion, was saved by a Porthleven fishing boat, which came to their assistance. A wife and three children are left to deplore the loss of an affectionate husband and father. 2
