In Mar 1852 Thomas Noakes was present at the marriage of his sister Constance Colegate Noakes to John Solly in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.

Son Charles Thomas Noakes was christened in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais, France on 20 Oct 1855 and was buried there on 6 November following.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Thomas Noakes, aged 33, born in Hastings Sussex, married, carpenter, was with his father Robert T Noakes in York Tavern, St. Mary in the Castle, Hastings.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Thomas Charles Bound Noakes, aged 75, born in Hastings Sussex, widower, retired builder, was living at Pateena Mill Hill, Westham Sussex. With him were son William (41) of France, single, painter, and sister Martha Noakes (70) of Hastings, single, sick nurse.
