Settlement examination PAR492/32/4/47, 7 Mar 1785 for John Newark of Ticehurst, labourer.
The burial records show a burial in 1794 for John Newick in Goudhurst, which I'm assuming is John's son (christened as John Newick in 1787). The burial record in 1828 is for a John Newark. The fact that an Elizabeth Newark was buried in the same place a few years later suggests this John was the one buried in 1828.

Presumably this John Newark married Elizabeth Winch. No marriage record can be found for another John Newark and Elizabeth in the period leading up to 1784 (birth/christening of daughter Sarah). Note that daughter Hannah Newick (chr. Hannah Newark, 2 Feb 1786 in Ticehurst, was buried 19 Jul 1786 in Goudhurst); son John (chr. John Newick, 20 May 1787 in Goudhurst) was buried 6 Nov 1794 in the same.
