Ann Eason 1
- Christened: 19 Feb 1678, Hellingly, Sussex, England 2
- Married: 3 Oct 1714, Laughton, Sussex, England 3
Orthographic variations: EASTON, ESSON
General Notes:
7 x great-grandmother
Research Notes:
Probably Ann Esson, christened 19 Feb 1677/8 in Hellingly (5.8 miles east of Laughton), daughter of James Esson. This name is also rendered Easton, as in Ann Easton, wife of James Easton, who was buried on 2 Jul 1709, St. Peter & St. Paul, Hellingly. Allowing for orthographic variations, the only locatable marriage for James Eason and Anne was a Quaker marriage (Society of Friends), between James Eason and Anne Tomson, on 18 Apr 1667 in Arundel Sussex, albeit 40 miles west of Hellingly. This seems unlikely to have been the same couple; hence Anne's family name is shown in square brackets.
Marriage Information:
Ann married John Akehurst, probably son of Nicholas Akehurst and Mary Duke, on 3 Oct 1714 in Laughton, Sussex, England. (John Akehurst was christened on 12 Sep 1675 in St. Mary, Udimore, Sussex, England and was buried on 14 Apr 1729 in All Saints, Laughton, Sussex, England.)
