At the time of the 1871 England Census John Weston, aged 32, born in Etchingham Sussex, ag lab, and wife Mary A., aged 31, born in Burwash, were living in Fronbridge Lane, Lunsford Farm, Etchingham, Sussex. With them were children Elizabeth A. (10) of Sandhurst Kent, scholar, and born in Etchingham: Frances (6), scholar, Mary A. (5), scholar, Lucy (3), Alice (1).
At the time of the 1881 England Census John Weston, aged 42, born in Etchingham Sussex, farm servant, and wife Mary Ann, aged 41, born in Burwash, were living in Sheep Street Lane, Etchingham. Present were children Elizabeth Ann (20) of Sandhurst, and born in Etchingham: Lucy (13), scholar, Alice (11), scholar, William John (8), scholar, Ellen (4), scholar, Joseph (2), Caroline Minnie (10 months).
In March 1889 John Weston was present at the marriage of his daughter Mary Ann Weston to James Eastwood in Etchingham Sussex.
At the time of the 1891 England Census John Weston, aged 52, born in Etchingham Sussex, agricultural labourer, and wife Mary A., aged 50, born in Etchingham [sic], were living in Bing Hill?, Etchingham. With them were children (born in Etchingham): Frances (26), Joseph (13), agricultural labourer, Minnie C. (10).
In July 1896 John Weston was present at the marriage of his daughter Alice Weston to William James Dann in Etchingham Sussex.
At the time of the 1901 England Census John Weston, aged 62, born in Etchingham Sussex, widower, labourer in a creamery, was living in Etchingham. With him were children (born in Etchingham): Francess (36), Ellen (24), Joseph (22), platelayer.
In 1911 John Weston, aged 72, born in Etchingham, farm labourer, widower, was living at Rother View, Etchingham. With him were daughter Frances Weston (46) and sister Sarah Weston (58) of Etchingham, housekeeper.

SON'S TRIBUTE.
Mr. John Weston Buried at Etchingham.
"He worked hard and lived hard," was the tribute paid by his son, Joe, to the late Mr. John Weston, of "Rother View," Etchingham, whose funeral took place on Thursday last week.
Mr. John Weston passed away on the previous Saturday at the grand old age of 95 years. He lived in Etchingham all his life. His wife predeceased him 37 years ago.
During his active days Mr. Weston worked on the Boarzell Estate under Mr. George Gregory. He worshipped with the Wesleyans. He fine weather he often defied his age by taking a walk to the village unattended. He leaves three daughters and one son. There are also left one sister and three brothers, all over 80 years of age.
The Rector of Etchingham (the Rev. C. C. Snell) conducted the funeral service in Etchingham Church. The mourners included Mr. and Mrs. J. Weston (son and daughter-in-law), Mrs. J. Eastwood, Mrs. J. Pope, and Mr. and Mrs. T. Pilbeam (daughters and son-in-law), Mrs. G. Eastwood, Mrs. W. Goodsell and Mrs. C. Relf (nieces), Mrs. E. Wells, Miss Marjorie Weston, Miss Ivy Eastwood, Mrs. W. Eastwood and Mrs. H. Eastwood (grandchildren), Mrs. E. Haigh, Mrs. Guest, Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. E. Mewett, Mrs. Catt and Mr. H. F. Tester (friends)....
