Abstract of the Will of William Watkin Anwyl of Pidford in the Isle of Wight, Esquire, written 2 Dec 1831, proved 7 Aug 1832. 3

Gives & devises all his messuages or tenements, farm and lands called the Red Lion Farm in all his other lands in Bala in the county of Merioneth to the use of his brother Rice Anwyl for the term of his natural life.

Gives & devises the same to the use of his nephew Rice Owen Anwyl, son of his brother David Anwyl.

Gives, devises & bequeathed the remainder of his real estate and all his household goods, furniture, plate, linen, china, wines, monies, debts, mortgages and other securities, to the use of William Hearn of Newport in the Isle of Wight, Gentleman, and Henry Sowell of the same place, Gentleman, in Trust, to pay the dividends, interest and annual proceeds, to be received by his brother Rice Anwyl for the term of his natural life. And after his death, the Trust monies are to be paid to his nephews & nieces: Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth and Robert Anwyl, the three children of his late brother David Anwyl; Rice Hugh, Margaret Jane and Anne Catherine, three of the children of his brother Thomas Anwyl, and his niece Mary Anne Anwyl daughter of this brother Robert Anwyl deceased, to share and share alike.

Appoints the said William Hearn and Henry Sowell executors of his last will and testament.

William married Elizabeth Grose, daughter of Sir Nash Grose, Knt. and Mary, on 29 Mar 1815 in St. Helens, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England. (Elizabeth Grose was born about 1781, died on 9 Mar 1829 and was buried on 16 Mar 1829 in Priory St. Helen, Isle of Wight, aged 48 years.)
