Abstract of the Will of Barbara Roberts of Goppa in the Parish of Trawsfynydd in the County of Merioneth, Widow, written 14 Feb 1788, proved 18 Mar 1802. 3

Refers to an Indenture of Settlement made long ago and now in the custody of her son, the Reverend Robert Roberts, Clerk, Vicar of Llanhaidr Dyffryn Clwyd in the county of Denbigh, in which she reserved a power to herself in the sum of £900 for the benefit of her younger children and for other matters. In this context she notes that two of her younger children, Catherine and Anne Roberts, spinsters, are already deceased, and that her eldest daughters, Margaret and Ellinor, are now married, and to whom she has already given £200 each out the said £900.

Gives and bequeaths £300 to her youngest daughter Jane Roberts, to whom she also all her household stuff, furniture and stock in Goppa House and upon the farm.

Nominates and appoints her said son Robert Roberts, Clerk, sole executor and residuary legatee of her last will and testament.
