Abstract of the Will of the Reverend Griffith Owen, Rector of Llanenddwywe in the County of Merioneth, written 29 Jul 1822, codicil 24 May 1826, proved 30 Dec 1826.
Gives & devises all his messuages or dwelling houses with their gardens and other appurtenances in the town of Bala in county Merioneth to his grandson Rice Owen Anwyl his heirs & assigns forever, subject to paying Griffith's granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Anwyl when she reaches twenty one years of age.
Gives & devises all his freehold estate in the parish of Llandanwg in county Merioneth to his grandson Griffith Owen Anwyl.
Gives & devises his freehold estate consisting of a stable, [cow]house and granary nearly adjoining the Rectory House of Llanenddwyw to his wife Catherine Owen.
Gives & bequeaths £600 to his granddaughter Margaret Anwyl.
Gives & bequeaths £400 to his grandson David Anwyl.
Gives & bequeaths £400 to his grandson Robert Anwyl.
Gives & bequeaths £5 each to his two little granddaughters Jane Catherine Owen and Jane Owen.
All the rest & residue of his personal estate, goods & chattels, he gives & bequeaths to his wife Catherine Owen, whom he appoints sole executrix of his last will and testament.

Gives & bequeaths £2,000 to his now wife Ellenor.
Gives & bequeaths £2,000 between his said two sons Griffith and Hugh, share and share alike.
Gives a further £100 to his wife Ellinor.
Appoints his sons Griffith and Hugh Owen joint executors of his last will and testaments.

(Catherine Thomas was christened on 26 Jun 1746 in Llangelynin, Merioneth, Wales and was buried on 6 Nov 1824 in Llanenddwyn, Merioneth, Wales, aged 78 years.)
