In 1796 David Anwyl was a witness at the marriage of his cousin James Anwyl of Llandanwg to Catherine Owen.

In 1841 David Anwyl, aged about 45, and wife Ann, aged about 40, were living in Llandanwg Merioneth. Present were children: Evan (12), John (10), Jane (8), Catherine (5), Mary (2)

In 1851 David Anwyl (55) of Llandanwg, corn factor, and wife Ann (51) of Llanenddwyn were living in Glan dŵr Mill, Uwch y Mynydd, Llandanwg. Present were children (born in Llanaber): John (19), Mary (12)

The Will of David Anwyl formerly of Barmouth but late of Clogwyn House Harlech both in the County of Merioneth, Gentleman, who died 27 August 1876 at Clogwyn Harlech, was proved 18 October by Ann Anwyl of Clogwyn House, spinster, the daughter, the sole executrix. Effects under £2000.
