Abstract of the Will of Lewis Griffith of Pwllheli in the Parish of Deneio in the County of Caernarvon, Innholder, written 24 Nov 1779, proved 28 Jul 1780.

Gives & bequeaths to his niece Ellin Humphreys, spinster, eldest daughter of Edward Humphreys of Aberdainant in the County of Merioneth, yeoman, and Gwen his wife, all his messuages or dwelling houses, lands, tenements and hereditaments with their rights, members & appurtenances, situate in the town of Caernarvon and parish of Llanbeblick otherwise Llanbeblig, subject nevertheless to the estate for life of Jane his now wife which she may claim in the premisses under an Indenture tripartite dated about 5 Sep 1769 between himself, Lewis Griffith, of the first part, the said Jane his wife then called Jane Hughes of Pwllheli, widow, of the second part, and the Reverend John Roberts, Clerk & Vicar of Llanbeblig, and Henry Jones of Caernarvon, mercer, of the third part.

And in default of heirs of his niece Ellin Humphreys, he gives & bequeaths the same to his nephew Lewis Humphreys, third son of the said Edward Humphreys and Gwen his wife.

Also gives & bequeaths £50 to his said niece Ellin Humphreys.

Gives & bequeaths five shillings to his sister the said Gwen wife of Edward Humphreys.

Gives & bequeaths 5 shillings to his nephew Richard Humphreys, eldest son of the said Edward Humphreys and Gwen his wife.

Gives & bequeaths 5 shillings to his nephew Humphrey Humphreys, second son of the said Edward Humphreys and Gwen his wife.

Gives & bequeaths 5 shillings to his said nephew Lewis Humphreys...

Gives & bequeaths 5 shillings to his niece [Jane] Humphreys, second daughter of the said Edward Humphreys and Gwen his wife.

Gives & bequeaths £50 to John Evans, maltster, and Rosindal? Lloyd, shopkeeper, both of Pwllheli, upon Trust, for his said wife Jane to receive the interest from said sum and, immediately after her death, the said sum to be shared between the said Ellin Humphreys, Lewis Humphreys and Jane Humphreys: £20 to Ellin Humphreys, £20 to Lewis Humphreys and £10 to Jane Humphreys.

All the rest & residue of his goods, chattels, ready money, debts and securities for money, plate, household goods, stocks, merchandises &c. he gives and bequeaths to his said wife Jane.
