Abstract of the Will of David Lloyd of Groesonnen, Gentleman, written 23 Jun 1648, proved 14 Jun 1649. 4
His body to be buried in the parish church of Egloysvach where he dwells.
Leaves & bequeaths 6 shillings toward the reparation of the said church.
Ratifies & confirms such assurance as he has already made of his lands and hereditaments for provision for his wife and children.
Item. Gives, devises & bequeaths to his eldest daughter Elizabeth Lloyd all his estate, term & interest in those parcels of lands, meadows and grounds called Gwerglodd Fymon Asaph in Erethlyn in the county of Denbigh which he holds for a term of sixty years if Owen Lloyd of Erethlyn lives so long.
Touching the rest of his goods, chattels & personal estate he bequeaths one moiety of what remains after his debts & funeral expenses are paid in the form of £80 due to his daughter Dorothy and his wife Elizabeth according to the custom of North Wales.
The other moiety he devises & bequeaths to his son David Lloyd and to his three daughters Elizabeth, Jane and Dorothy to be equally divided among them.
Names & appoints his wife and son David Lloyd as Executors of his last will and testament.
He desires his brethren, kinsmen and friends Robert Anwill of Parke, Esq. , Richard Anwill of Parke, gent., Hugh Lloyd of Creiglwyd in county Carnarvon, gent., Evan Griffith of Erethlyn in county Denbigh, gent., John Evans of Erethlyn, gent., and Ellis Davis of Llanrwst in county Denbigh, mercer, to be overseers of his last will and testament.
Memorandum. Debts due to him: £20 from David Lloyd of Llwydiart in county Anglesey, gent., long due by bond; £5 from William Thomas David; 20 shillings from John Price of Mantmawr; 20 shillings from Thomas ap Richard Owen; £4 2s. from Owen Lloyd of Erethlyn, gent.; 14s. 4d. from Jeffery Owen; £3 from Morris ap Lloyd due by bond.
