In 1851 Jane Evans (32) of Talyllyn Merioneth and husband Evan Evans (38) of Talyllyn Merioneth, assistant clerk [----], were living in Ruabon Denbighshire. Present were children: Margaret (10) of Llan--- Montgomery*, Ellanor (8) of Dolgelley Merioneth, Louisa (6) of Dolgelley, Jane (9 months) of Ruabon

* Based on Margaret's age, she was most likely her father's daughter by a previous marriage. Daughter Eleanor was born in 1842, the year of his marriage to Jane Owen.

In 1861 Jane Evans (43) of Talyllyn Merionethshire and husband Evan Evans (53) of Talyllyn Merionethshire, clerk in colliery, were living at 8 Railway Terrace, Ruabon Denbighshire. Present were children Louisa D. (16) of Dolgelley Merionethshire, Owen W. (8) of Ruabon, Catherine E. (5) of Ruabon, Sarah Ann (4) of Ruabon

In 1871 Jane Evans (51) of Talyllyn Merioneth and husband Evan Evans (58) of Llanfihangel Merioneth, clerk in spilter? works, were living in Park Street Ruabon Denbigh. Present were children (born in Ruabon) Jane (20), Owen W. (18), clerk in insurance office, Sarah A. (13), scholar. Daughter Catherine ("Kate") was with her uncle Owen Owens in Hendra Maes y trefnant Towyn Merioneth.

In 1881 Jane Evans (60) of Talyllyn and husband Evan Evans (77) of Talyllyn, grocer, were living in Corbet Square, Vaenol, Towyn. Present were daughters (born in Ruabon Denbighshire): Kate Evans (21), Sarah A. (20), grandson William M. Smyth (14) of Llanwrst Denbighshire, scholar [William was the son of Evan's daughter Margaret: see note to 1851 Census above.]

In 1891 Jane Evans (72) of Corris Merionshire, widow, was living in Corbet Square Towyn Merioneth. Present were children: Eleanor Morris (48) of Dolgelley Merioneth, widow, housekeeper, Owen W. Evans (37) of Ruabon Denbighshire, single, auctioneer's clerk, Kate Anwyl Evans (36) of Ruabon Denbighshire, single


Jane Evans of Britannia House Towyn died aged 74 years (burial record).

Jane married Evan EVANS, son of John EVAN and Eleanor, in 1842 in the Machynlleth district, Montgomery, Wales. (Evan EVANS was christened on 1 Apr 1802 in Tal-y-Llyn St. Marys, Merioneth, Wales, and was buried on 14 Feb 1883 in Tal-y-Llyn, Merioneth, Wales, aged 82 years.)
