In 1871 Hugh Owens (55) of Talyllyn, unmarried, joint occupier, was with his brother Owen (58) of Talyllyn Merionethshire, farmer of 735 acres, unmarried, in Hendra Maes y trefnant Towyn Merioneth.

In 1881 Hugh Owen (66) of Talyllyn, unmarried, farm bailiff, was with his brother Owen Owen (69) of Talyllyn, unmarried, farmer of 744 acres in Hendre Towyn Merioneth.
