In the 1635 Will of her maternal grandmother Joan Younge of Wilmington, widow, Margaret Akehirst was bequeathed £20, one silver double salt cellar, and her biggest gold ring.

Writing her Will in March 1645 Margaret Bodle of Hailsham, widow, bequeathed to her granddaughter Margaret Akeherst daughter of John Akeherst her red flannel petticoat laid with three black velvet laces.
