In 1825 Thos Potter was present at the marriage of his brother Henry Potter to Mary Martin in Warbleton Sussex.

At the time of the 1841 England Census Thomas Potter, aged about 35, . . . . . . . servant, and wife Harriet, aged about 40, were living in Rushlake Green, Warbleton Sussex. With them were children: Emily (12), Horace (9), Felix (7), Mary (5) and Catherine (3).

POTTER.—June 10, at Little Rose-hill, Brightling, in his 46th year, Mr. Thomas Potter, late steward to A. E. Fuller, Esq., M.P. for East Sussex, after 28 days' nervous fever, which terminated in congestion of the brain: much respected. He has left a wife and seven children.
