A Harriet Waters was christened in Warbleton in 1803, daughter of Thomas Waters & Jane; however, it appears that this Harriet died in November 1818 in Warbleton, aged 15 years.

At the time of the 1851 England Census Harriet Potter, aged 50, born in Hailsham Sussex, widow, was living in Rushlake, Warbleton Sussex. With her were children (born in Warbleton): Emily (22), schoolmistress, Felix (17), Catharine (13), scholar, Reginald (8), scholar, and Agnes (6) of Hellingly, scholar.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Harriet Potter, aged 60, born in Hailsham Sussex, widow, was living in Rushlake, Warbleton Sussex. With her were children (born in Warbleton): Felix Wm. (27), Reginald (18), ap. grocer & draper, Agnes E (16) of Hellingly.
