At the time of the 1851 England Census Mary Styance, age 19, born in Yalding Kent, was with her parents in Loose Street, Loose, Kent.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Mary Ann Highams, age 30, born in Loose Kent [sic], and husband Phillip Highams, age 31, born in Loose Kent, ag. lab, were living in Loose Street, Loose. With them were children (born in Loose): William (7), scholar, Thomas (3), scholar, and George (2).
Unable to find Mary Ann or Philip in the 1871 or 1881 Censuses. Philip re-appears in the 1891 Census, having remarried to Sophia Waller in 1887 in the Maidstone district.
