"WOMAN'S BODY FOUND IN WAGGA LAGOON
A woman's body was found in the Wollundry Lagoon by two police constables at 5 a.m. yesterday.
The woman was Enid Priscilla Adams, 51, of 93 Morgan Street.
The body was found by Constables Timmins and Moore, who recovered it with grappling irons.
Police said yesterday that the body, which was clad in night attire, was later removed to the Wagga Base Hospital.
There are no suspicious circumstances.
Deceased had been ill for several months.
She was the wife of Mr. W. J. Adams, of 93 Morgan Street, Wagga.
She Is survived by her husband and three daughters, Misses Thea and Norma, and Mrs. C. Steinburg (Pauline), of Wagga: two sons, Keith (Cessnock) and Reg (Wagga), her mother, Mrs. Crawford, of 121 Baylis Street, Wagga; one sister, Mrs. A. Nash, of Wagga, and one brother, Mr. A. Crawford (Hay).
The funeral will take place this afternoon. The cortege will move from St. John's Church of England after a service to start at 1.45 o'clock. Interment will be in the Wagga cemetery." 4
