"St. George's Church, Parkes, on Wednesday, 18th April, was the scene of a very pretty wedding. The Rev. R. Seymour Smith was the officiating clergyman. The bridegroom, Herbert William, youngest son of Mr. A. Edwards, of Bathurst, and the bride Eva Gertrude, third daughter of the late Mr. G. S. Willacy, of Parkes. She wore a very dainty frock of white crepe-de-chene and ninon with pearl trimmings. The tulle veil, which was arranged mop cap fashion, was kept in place with sprigs of orange blossom, the train being of white sa tin and lined with shell pink ninon, hung gracefully from the shoulders, and was ornamented with a true lover's knot of silver tissue. A charming bouquet of ferns, lillies of the valley, and arum lillies, completed a pictures que ensemble. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. E. Willacy. The bridesmaid, Miss Edna Willacy, wore a very smart dress of white crepe-de-chene (coat frock style) with gold and fur trimmings and black velvet hat trimmed with gold. She carried a bouquet of pink cactus dah lias, finished off with a pink tulle bow and wore a gold bangle the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. T. Edwards brot her of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother in Church street. Later Mr. and Mrs. Edwards left for the Mountains and Jenolan Caves. The bride's travel ling suit was of nattier blue glace with a lace velvet hat with gold trim mings and a set of squirred furs the gift of the bridegroom." 5
