At the time of the 1861 England Census Sarah Emergy, aged 12, born at 7 Crasswell St., Portsea Hants, nurse maid, was with her parents in Portsea.
At the time of the 1881 England Census Sarah Green, aged 32, born in Portsea Hants, and husband Henry J Green, aged 35, born in Portsea, coastguard R.N., were living at 14 Beach Street, Alverstoke Hants. Present were children Mary A (8) of Ireland, Henry (5) of Ireland, William (3) of Ireland, and George (3 mo) of Alverstoke.
At the time of the 1891 England Census Sarah A. Green, aged 42, born in Portsmouth Hants, widow, was living at 16 Guildford St., Portsea Hants. With her were children George (10) of Gosport, scholar, John (7) of Gosport, scholar, and Eliza (5) of Southampton Hants, scholar.
