  Research Notes:

William Phillips the elder was bequeathed a cow, a feather bed, bolster, two pillows, a coverlet, a pair of blankets and two pair of sheets in his father's Will (1622).

In Mar 1624/5 George Rosier als. Hooper bequeathed in his Will a wain and all his plough stuff to his son-in-law William Phillips who witnessed George's Will.

In Dec 1625 William Phillips was one of those who took inventory of the goods and chattels of Jeffery Bathe of Bushton in the Parish of Clyffe Pypard, deceased.

Gives 4 pence to the mother church of Sarum.

Gives 10 shillings to his daughter Anne Church.

Gives 10 shillings to his daughter Jone Blunt.

Gives £40 to his daughter Martha Phillips.

Gives £40 to his son George Phillips.

Gives £40 to his son Owen Phillips.

Gives £50 to his son Richard Phillips.

Gives £50 to his son Joseph Phillips.

Gives £50 to his daughter Mary Phillips.

Gives £50 to his son John Phillips.

Gives 10 shillings to his godson William Church.

Gives 10 shillings to his godson William Blunt.

Gives 5 shillings to his servant Judeth Hooper.

Gives 10 shillings to the poor of Clyffe Pypard.

Makes his wife Edith Phillips and his eldest son William Phillips co-executors of his last will and testament.

Appoints his friend Mr Richard Constable and his brother Henry Phillips to be overseers of his last will and testament.

William married Edith Hooper, daughter of George Rosier als. Hooper of Clyffe Pypard and Edith Brinsden, between 1608 and 1613. (Edith Hooper was born between 1585 and 1595 in Clyffe Pypard, Wiltshire, England and died after 22 Dec 1643.)
