In 1801 Nathan Horsel was a witness at the marriage of his brother Abraham to Elizabeth Bath.
In 1824 Nathan Horsel was named in the Will of his father-in-law, William Bath of Brinkworth, Gent. and husband of William's daughter Sarah.
In 1841 Nathan Horsell, aged about 60, yeoman, and wife Sarah, aged about 50, were living in Chryshead Green Brinkworth. With them were children: Nathan (25), William (20), Sarah (14).
In 1851 Nathan Horsell (77) of Brinkworth, yeoman farming 86 acres employing 3 labourers, and wife Sarah (76) of Brinkworth were living in Sundays Hill Brinkworth. Nathan's nephew Abraham Horsell and his family were nextdoor.
