In 1871 Arthur Chandler, aged 14, born in Swindon Wilts, apprentice lace warehouseman, was living in St. Botolph Without Aldergate, London.

In 1881 Arthur Chandler, aged 24, born in Swindon Wilts, warehouseman, was living in St. Botolph Without Aldergate, London.

In 1891 Arthur Chandler, aged 34, born in Swindon Wilts, wholesale drapers' warehouseman, and wife Louisa E., aged 29, born in Bermondsey London were living in 3 Lorne Villas, Beckenham Kent. With them were children (born in Beckenham): Muriel M. (3), Charles F. (1), and sister-in-law Caroline Byford of Bermondsey London, single, companion at home.

THE LATE MR. A. CHANDLER.

The death occurred at Beckenham, Kent, of Mr. Arthur Chandler, fourth son of the late Mr. John Chandler, who, it will be remembered, carried on a draper's business in Wood Street, Swindon.

Mr. Arthur Chandler was 77 years of age, and left Swindon as a youth. Since then he has only visited the town on a few occasions.

A daughter of Mr. Chandler, Miss Pat Chandler*, married Mr. Ken Ellis, the well-known Swindon artiste.

Mr. Chandler leaves a widow and two daughters.
