In the name of God Amen I Johane Masklin late of Pirton in the countie of Wiltes daughter of Robt Masklin late of Pirton aforesaid deceased being sicke of body but of perfect minde and memory thanks bee to god therefore doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following...
First I bequeath my soule to allmightie god and my body to the earth from whence it came
And because Elizabeth Mills the wife of William Mills of Pirton aforesaid Glover hath beene a true and loving friend to mee in all my miseries when all other my friends hath forsaken me and hath taken much paines and expended much money for mee and my good in so much that all thestate I have is noe waie able to requite her Yet to shew my poore thankfullnes to her I doe hereby give her the said Elizabeth all my money owing mee and all other my goods Chattles and personall estate whatsoever And I doe hereby make her the said Elizabeth my full and sole Executrix this my last will and testament
And doe hereby intreat my Cozens Mr Edmond Masklin and Mr Thomas Sadleir of Pirton aforesaid in whose hands and power is most ... of my said estate to paye the same truly to my said Executrix
In witnes whereof I have hereto putt my hand and Seale this thirteenth daie of February in the second yeare of the Raigne of King Charles over England Anno Domini one thousand six hundred twentie sixe
