ffyrst in the vestry ij chalycys with patentes of sylver, one of them duble gylte, conteynyng in wayght xxxiij ownces; Item a cope of cloth of gold grounded wt grene; Item a sute of vestment of black velvat braynshyd with goold; Item iij copes of cloth of gold; Itm a cope of crymson velvat and a vestment of the same; Item a cope of whyte damaske, prist and deacon of the same; Itm a vestment of blew velvatt; Itm a vestment of purple velvatt; Itm a sute of vestments of black damaske; Item a common* cupp new bought of sylver, double gilt, weying Lj ounces bought wth part of the church goods of the old Inventory that is sold; Item iij other vestments for the weke days, one whyte, another red, the thyrd grene; Itm a cope of blew and grene bawdkyn†; Itm xij albes good and badd; Itm in the steple, ffyve great belles and a sanctus bell.
A remembrans that the residue of the old Inventory is sold and bestowed in Reparation of the Church and the bridge there, as it is aunswered by the othes of the parties above written.

In the name of god amen, the xth daye of February Anno 1561 I William Lovelace of Culham in the Countie of Barksheire gentleman doe ordaine and make this my Last Will and testamente in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my soule to almightie god my maker redemer and savior, my boddie to be buried in the churche of Wargrave nowe there unto the place where my father lieth buried.
Also I give and bequeath to be distributed among the poore people of the parish of Wargrave xxs. in monney, and a quarter of pease to be given amonge them in the tyme of lentt.
Also I give and bequeath unto the poore people of Henley xls. in monney and ii quarters of pease to be distributed there amonge them.
Also I give and bequeathe to William Lovelas my sonne my Lease and terme of yeres yet to come in Culham ferme which I holde of Sir Harry Nevell Knight, whiche Leace now remaineth in the custodie and safe kepinge of my sister Margery Kettill.
Also I give and bequeath unto the saide William my sonne all that my goods moveable or unmovable being in & uppon my saide ferme and groundes of Culham.
Also I will and doe charge the saide William my sonne that he suffer Robarte Powglas quietly to enioye the coppie holde that he now dwelleth in for the terme of his naturall lief paieing all suche rent and duties due unto the Lorde, and also xxs. by the yere unto the saide William yerely for the Same
Also I will and bequeath the custodie of the saide William my sonne with all suche goods and Legacies as is afore to hym appointed unto the custodie and keping of my sonne in Lawe Humfrey Staverton gentleman until my saide sonne William shall come unto th age of xx yeres The saide Humfrey to enter into bonde unto John Barley esquier and Margery Ketle for the yerely answering, and safe delivery of all suche goods and cattalls as the saide Humfrey shall receive unto thuse? of William Lovelas my sonne at suche tyme as he shall come to th age aforesaide.
Also I will that if it shall happen the saide William my sonne to die before he shall come to th age of xx yeres that then I give and bequeath all suche legacies to hym before appointed to be equally distributed amongest six of my daughters, That is to saye Margery, Lettice, Jane, Jone, Anne, and Mary, and to the heires of theire boddies.
Also I give and bequeath unto Mary Lavelas my daughter, and to heires for ever my tenemente in Henley which I late boughte of [blank] Jesopp, now in the tenure of Davye Butler Also I give more unto the saide Mary my daughter and to her heires for ever my garner, and woodhouse by the water side in Henley which I boughte of Edwarde Kemys, now in the tenure of John Assonden, and Rice Danye. Also I give and bequeath unto the saide Mary my daughter xll. in monney which now remaineth in the handes of Harry Stoner gent. Also I give more to the saide Mary — xl. in monney now in the handes of John Lewes of Henley. Also I will that John Frost my sonne in Lawe shall have the custodie and keping of my saide daughter Mary with all suche legacies to her appointed untill she come to th age of xvi yeres, the saide John Froste to enter into Bonde unto John Barlowe esquire, and Margerie Kettle for the safe delivery of the same unto the saide Mary at th age afore appointed, if she then be living.
And if it shall happen the saide Mary to die before she shall come to th age of xvi yeres That then all suche legacies of monney to her appointed I give and bequeath the same to the children of my daughter Mawde Rolles equally to be devided amonge them. And the tenement in the tenure of Davye Butler I give then, and bequeath the same unto John Stonar the sonne of Harry Stonor gent and to his heires for ever. And the garner and woodhouse I give then and bequeath the same unto William Mercer my god sonne, and to his heires for ever.
Also I give and bequeath unto five of my daughters, that is to saye, Margery, Lettice, Jane, Jone, and Anne to be equally distributed among them seven of my best ringes, that is, one Ringe with a diall, a Ringe with a Saphier, a Ringe with a Rubye, a ring with a deathes hed, a hoope Ringe one mase Ringe and a signet Ringe with a woodbynde.
Also I give and bequeath more unto my sonne William xl. in monney and my chaine of golde.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Stonor my new cloke furred and garded with velvet.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Staverton my cloke lyned with satten and garded with velvet with a paire of new satten sleves, the rest of myne apparrell I give and bequeath the same equally to be distributed unto James Annesley William Mercer and John Frost my sonnes in Lawe with five buttons of golde uppon one of my Jerkins
Also I give and bequeath unto Richarde Lovelas my nephew, my baye nag and my best partisan.
Also I give and bequeath unto John Lewes, William Barnes, and William Craye my thre Bullocks, now going in the Lorde shipp of Rotherfelde graye.
Item I give and bequeath unto William Mercer my sonne in Lawe all my interest of my moyetie that I have in and to the leace of Sampforde Temple, Cowley, Horsepath, and others, which I late boughte of Mr Powell conditionally that the saide William Mercer doe paye unto my sonne in Lawe James Annesley xvl. of lawfull english monney within thre monethes next after my decease.
The residue of my goods moveables and unmoveables my debts paied and my Legacies fulfilled I give and bequeath the same unto Humfrey Staverton gentleman, Harry Stoner gentleman, and John Frost my sonnes in Lawe whiche Humfrey Harry and John I make & ordeyne my Executors of this my Last Will and testamente. Also I ordaine and make overseers of this my present Will my sister Margery Kettle and John Barlow esquire requiring them for charitie sake to see this my Will proved, and my Legacies performed.
