  Research Notes:

In 1841 Thomas Hosking, aged about 50, ag lab, and wife Mary Hosking, aged about 50, both born in the county, were living in Ventonleague, Phillack. With them were children Thomas (20), labourer, James (18), labourer, June (15), Mary (12), Benjamin (8), ag lab.

In 1851 Thomas Hosken, aged 66, born in Phillack, coal porter, and wife Mary Hosken, aged 67, born in Phillack, were living in Churchtown, Phillack. With them were children (born in Phillack) Jane (25) and Benjaman (21), coal porter.

In 1861 Thomas Hoskin, aged 77, born in Illogan, general labourer, and wife Mary Hoskin, aged 78, born in Gwithian, were boarding with Zacharias and Elizabeth Chinn* in Undercliff, Phillack.

Thomas married Mary Carthew, daughter of John Carthew Jr. and Esther Uren, on 9 Apr 1810 in Gwithian, Cornwall. (Mary Carthew was christened on 16 Oct 1788 in Gwithian, Cornwall and was buried on 24 Sep 1879 in Phillack, Cornwall, aged 97 years.)
