In 1847 Thomas Roberts was a beneficiary of his father's will, receiving all his live and dead stock, as well as half of his household furniture.
In 1851 Thomas Roberts, aged 24, born in Wendron Cornwall, farmer of 20 acres, and wife Anglina Roberts, aged 23, born in Wendron, were living in Lezarea, Wendron. With them were children (born in Wendron): William (3), Dorthey (1), mother Dorthey Roberts (68) of Wendron, widow, visitor William Roberts (13) of Wendron.
In 1861 Thomas Roberts, aged 34, born in Wendron, farmer of 30 acres, and wife Angelina Roberts, aged 33, born in Wendron, were living in Lezerea, Wendron. With them were children: William (13), carter, farm servant, Dorothy (11), dairy maid, Thomas H. (8), scholar, Elizabeth (4), Eliza (2), mother Dorothy Roberts (81) of Wendron, widow, bedridden.
In 1871 Thomas Roberts, aged 44, born in Wendron, innkeeper, and wife Angelina Roberts, aged 43, born in Wendron, were living in Porkellis, Wendron. Present were children: Thomas (18), miner, Elizabeth (14), assistant inn, Mary (11), scholar, John (4).
Thomas was not with his family at the time of the 1881 England Census.
In 1891 Thomas Roberts, aged 64, born in Wendron, widower, retired miner, was living in Porkellis, Wendron. With him was son John (23) of Wendron, tin miner.
