In 1871 Grace Nicholas, aged 31, born in Phillack Cornwall, and husband Charles Nicholas, aged 34, born in Marazion Cornwall, cordwainer, were living in Fore Street, Phillack. With them were sons (born in Phillack) John Charles (8), scholar, William (5), scholar, Robert Francis (3), scholar, and Stephen James (7 months).

In 1881 Grace Nicholls, aged 42, born in Phillack, and husband Charles Nicholls, aged 45, born in Marazion, shoemaker, were living in Fore Street, Phillack. Present were children (born in Phillack) John C. (18), fitter, R. F. (13), scholar, Stephen J. (7), scholar, F. N. (5), scholar, Elizth. M. (2), and W. G. (2 months).

In 1891 Grace Nicholas, aged 51, born in Hayle Cornwall, married, was in Fore Street, Phillack. With her were children (born in Hayle) Robert F. (23), engine fitter, Stephen J.
