In 1768 Jane Hockin became a beneficiary of the will of her uncle John Gartrell of Phillack, receiving 5 shillings.
In February 1770 Jane Hockin, widow and relict of Benjamin Hockin, was granted Administration of his goods and chattels.
In 1798 Jane's sons Charles Hockin and Benjamin Hockin both died, buried in April and May respectively. Jane renounced Administration of the personal effects of her late sons in favour of her unmarried daughter Jane Hockin to whom Administration was granted. 3

Gives, devises and bequeaths to her daughters Jane Hockin, Alice Hockin and her daughter-in-law Mary Hockin the wife of her son Richard Hockin all her right, title, interest, property and claim in all of her stamping mills within Illogan parish called Edwards's or Botcher's Stamping Mills, along with her right, title &c. in several tin bounds, in Trust, for her grandson, Benjamin Hockin, son of her said son Richard Hockin, until he reaches the age of twenty one years.
Gives and bequeaths an annuity of £6 out of the rents and profits from her tenement in Tolsaddern in Illogan parish to the aforesaid Jane Hockin, Alice Hockin and Mary Hockin, in Trust, for her granddaughters Mary and Grace Hockin, daugthers of her said son Richard Hockin.
Gives and bequeaths to her said daughter Alice Hockin a fourth part of all her household furniture, goods &c.
Gives and bequeaths £10 to her daughter the said Jane Hockin.
Gives and bequeaths two guineas each to her daughter Alice Hockin, her daughters Ann the wife of Henry Eudey, Mary the wife of Robert Millett, and Blanch Hichens, widow.
Gives and bequeaths one guinea each to every grandchild that will be living at the time of her decease.
All the rest, residue and remainder of her personal estate she gives and bequeaths to her son the said Richard Hockin for the term of his natural life and thereafter to his son her grandson the aforesaid Benjamin Hockin.
Appoints her son Richard Hockin the sole executor of her last will and testament.
