In 1861 Mary Stone, aged 53, born in Pimlico London, and husband Robert A Stone, aged 57, born in Grade Cornwall, farmer of 10 acres, were living in Long alley, Ruan Minor Cornwall. With them were children (born in Ruan Minor) Priscilla (19), assistant housekeeper, Christopher (16), stone cutter, Julia (13), scholar, Frances (11), scholar, and Charles (7), scholar. Robert's brother, James, and his family, were living nextdoor in Long Alley.
In 1871 Mary Stone, aged 62, born in Chelsea . . . . . . . , widow, was living in Long alley, Ruan Minor, Cornwall. With her were children (born in Ruan Minor) Christopher (24), stone mason, Charles (17), farmer's son, Priscilla Wills (29), married, and grandson George Willes (1) of Budock Cornwall.
