"DEATH OF A RETURNED SOLDIER
The death of Mr. Percy Quintrell, son of Mr. E. Quintrell of Cross Roads, Wallaroo, occurred last week. It was due to a simple accident, which occurred during the previous week; He was engaged in opening a bottle when it burst and cut his hands severely.Mr. T. H. Cock administered fiist-aid, and medical aid was called. Symptoms of lockjaw setting in he was removed to the Wallaroo Hospital. He appeared to be recovering from the attack lockjaw, but blood poison set in and he died on Wednesday morning. Deceased, who was in his 29th year and was ummarried, had seen considerable fighting wihile on active-service with the A.I.F. at the front, and was wounded." 2
