At the time of the 1911 England Census Elizabeth Pyle, age 34, born in Eastbourne Sussex (mother of 3 children), and husband of 9 years Robert James Pyle, age 34, born in Gosport Hants., cashier & bookkeeper to solicitor, were living at 26 Manifold Road Eastbourne Sussex. With them were children (born in Eastbourne): Augustus William (8), Hubert Wilfred (4) and Leonard James (1). Robert's widowed mother Helen Selene Pyle (60) of Southsea Hants was also present.
In the 1939 Register Elizabeth Pyle (b. 4 Jan 1877), unpaid domestic duties, and husband Robert J Pyle (b. 8 Apr 1876), retired shipping clerk, were living at 246 Buckhurst Way, Buckhurst Hill, Essex. At the same address was [daughter] Dora Helen Pyle (b. 19 Apr 1911), single, laundry bookkeeper.
In Jan 1945 Elizabeth Pyle, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's personal effects.
