At the time of the 1881 England Census Caroline A Trangmar, age 20, born in Shoreham, post office clerk, was with her parents at 10 Newton? Rd., Deptford St. Paul London.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Caroline A Wadman, age 30, born in Shoreham Sussex, and husband Albert Wadman, age 36, born in Cheriton Somerset, farmer, were living in Gibraltar Farm House, West Firle Sussex. With them were children (born in West Firle): Albert J (7) and twins Kathleen C (5) and Winifred C (5). Son Edwin T (3) was with his maternal grandparents at 18 St. James, Deptford St. Paul London.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Caroline A Wadman, age 40, born in Shoreham Sussex, and husband Albert Wadman, age 46, born in South Cheriton (Horsington) Somerset, farmer, were living in Gibraltar West Firle Sussex. With them was son Albert J (17) of Firle, farmer's son.

In Sep 1910 Caroline A Wadman was a witness at the marriage of her daughter Kathleen Charlotte Wadman to Jack Hunt in West Firle Sussex.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Caroline Annie Wadman, age 50, born in Shoreham Sussex (mother of 4 children), and husband 27 years Albert Wadman, age 56, born in Cheriton Somerset, farmer, were living on Gibraltar Farm Firle.

SUSSEX AGRICULTURALIST'S WIDOW

FUNERAL OF MRS. C. A. WADMAN AT HAILSHAM.

Widow of Mr. Albert Wadman, the well-known East Sussex agriculturalist, of "Priesthaus," Westham, Mrs. Caroline Annie Wadman died on Saturday at "Glenmore," London-road, Hailsham, where she had resided since the death of her husband in 1934. She was 76 years of age. Formerly Miss Trangmar, her father was a railway official at Brighton for a number of years. During the time she was at "Priesthaus" Mrs. Wadman had acted as president of the Westham and Hankham Women's Institute. In 1933 Mr. and Mrs. Wadman celebrated their golden wedding.

The funeral took place at Hailsham on Tuesday, the service being conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. M. C. Chapman)....

The immediate mourners were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. William Osborn (sons-in-law and daughters), Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Wadman (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Roger Osborn, Miss C. Trangmar, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wadman, Mr. Hubert Wadman, Miss E. Wadham, Mr. Gerald Wadman and Miss Annie Lock (nieces and nephews), Miss E. M. Kendall, Miss V. Cotten and Nurse Neal....
