At the time of the 1901 England Census George E Parker, age 26, born in Lewes Sussex, wine merchant's clerk, was with his parents 2 Pelham Place, Lewes St. Michael Sussex.
At the time of the 1911 England Census George Ernest Parker, age 37, born in Lewes Sussex, wine merchant's clerk, and wife of 5 years Marie, age 30, born in Graffham Sussex (mother of 2 children), were living at 5 East Street, All Saints Lewes Sussex. With them were children (born in Lewes): Dorothy Winifred (5) and Marie (1). Also present was George's father Henry John Parker (57) of Ringmer, widower, carpenter & joiner.
In Oct 1921 George Ernest Parker, cashier, was granted Probate of his late father's personal effects.
In the 1939 Register George E Parker (b. 18 Apr 1873), cashier local taxation department Sussex County Council, and wife Marie Parker (b. 27 Jun 1880), unpaid domestic duties, were living at 17 Bradford Road, Lewes Sussex. At the same address was [daughter] Peggy P Parker (b. 21 May 1919), single, typist local taxation department Sussex County Council.

MR. G. E. PARKER
The funeral took place at Lewes Cemetery on Monday of Mr. George Ernest Parker, who died suddenly on Thursday last week at his home at 17, Bradford-road, Lewes. He was in his 76th year.
A native of Lewes, Mr. Parker was a well-known local entertainer, specialising in the rendering of comic songs for local charities.
Mr. Parker was a cashier for the East Sussex County Council for 25 years, until his retirement in 1946.
He was for many years a member of the 5th (Cinque Ports) Battalion, The Royal Sussex Regiment, serving with the T.A. during the first World War.
With the T.A., Mr. Parker, who was a first-class miniature rifle shot, once won a silver cup in a competition at Bisley.
During the late war Mr. Parker served latterly as acting R.S.M. of the 16th Sussex Battalion Home Guard, in which he showed great interest.
He was a keen member of Lewes Bowls Club for many years, was captain in one season and had played for Sussex, and he won the President's Cup in 1936.
A service at the chapel was conducted by the Rev. J. T. Goodchild (vicar of South Malling), who during the 1914-18 war was an officer in the 5th Battalion, The Royal Sussex Regiment, at the time when Mr. Parker was R.S.M.
He leaves a widow and three daughters.
Family mourners were Mrs. G. E. Parker (widow), Mr. and Mrs. L. Braam (son-in-law and daughter), and Mr. and Mrs. S. Boardman (son-in-law and daughter).....
