In October 1856 Annie Large was present at the marriage of her brother William Abbott Large to Eleanor Beake in Cliffe Pypard Wilts.

In 1861 Anne Shaw, aged 26, born in Hillmarton Wilts, and husband Charles John Shaw, aged 28, born in Bath Somerset, farmer of 308 acres employing 10 labourers and 4 boys, were living on Colthrop Farm, Thatcham Berkshire. With them were children (born in Thatcham) Rosamond L. M. (1) and George Herbert (1 mo).

In 1871 Anne Shaw, aged 36, born in Hilmarton Wilts, and husband Charles John Shaw, aged 38, born in Bath Somerset, farmer of 308 acres employing 8 men, 3 boys and 1 woman, were living in Colthrop Farm, Thatcham Berkshire. With them were daughters (born in Thatcham) Beatrice (4), Anne (2) and Katherine (1).

In 1881 Annie Shaw, aged 46, born in Hillmarton Wilts, and husband Charles J. Shaw, aged 48, born in Bath Somerset, no profession, dividends, interest, were living at West Hill House, Wincanton Somerset. Present were children (born in Thatcham Berks) Rosamond L. M. (21), teacher, Charles J. S. (19), medical student, Mary B. (14), scholar, Annie G. (12), scholar, Katherine E. (11), scholar, and Nevil M. (5) of Wincanton Somerset, scholar.

In April 1887 Anne Shaw of West Hill House, widow, was co-executor of her late husband's Will.

In 1891 Anne Shaw, aged 55, born in Hillmarton Wilts, widow, living on her own means, was in West Hill House, Wincanton Somerset. With her were children (born in Thatcham Berks) Charles J. S. (29), living on his own means, Annie G. (20), living on her own means, and Katherine E. (21), living on her own means.
