At the time of the 1901 England Census Percy Hopkins, age 28, born in Thornton Heath Surrey, and wife Gertrude age 26, of Oldham Lancs, were living at 208 Tresselian Road Deptford St. Paul London.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Percy Brooke Hopkins, age 38, born in Thornton Heath, banker's clerk, and wife of 10 years Gertrude, age 36, born in Oldham Lancs (mother of 3 children), were living at 89 Tyrwhitt Road Brockley Kent. With them were sons (born in Brockley): John Robert Percy (10), Cyril Brooke (6) and Henry Stuart (3).
