In the 1939 Register Alan E Trangmar (b. 4 Aug 1889), married, HM inspector of taxes, was living at 43 Sherbourne Road, Solihull, Warwickshire. At the same address was Elsie M Trangmar (b. 15 Apr 1884), single, unpaid domestic duties, and [son] Leigh A Trangmar (b. 25 Aug 1916), chemist awaiting instructions, having passed class B.
