"Fernando Vermuiz et Gelvira uxor" donated property to the monastery of Sahagún by charter dated 30 Nov 973". Her patronymic is confirmed by the document dated 27 Mar 976 quoted below. No proof has been found that her father was Diego Muñoz, but the onomastics are favorable and a marriage between the two equally influential Saldaña and Cea families is to be expected. Torres also highlights the charter dated 26 Sep 1028, under which the couple´s daughter "Scemena regina…et filia mea Urraca regina et xristi ancillas" donated property "in territorio Coza super castrum de Muza inter duos rivulos Karrione et Aratoi" to Santiago de Compostela, highlighting that the properties in question were situated broadly in the area of influence of the Saldaña family and therefore could reasonably be supposed to have been inherited by the donor from her mother. She confirmed a donation to the monastery of Santa Colomba de Ripa Rubia in 975 with her husband, the document also mentioning their children and their son-in-law Flaín Muñoz. A charter dated 976 records an inventory of transactions involving "Uilla Naptaulio" which was made by "Fredenandus Uermudizi et Giluyra". The testament of "Vela Vermudez" is dated 27 Mar 976, names "Vermudo Velaz…Argilo" as beneficiaries, confirmed by "Nunno Velaz, Fernando Vermuiz, Gilvira Didaz uxor Fernando Vermuiz, Petero Fernandiz, Gomiz Fernandiz filiis Fernando Vermuiz". 1
