In 1743 Anne Short was the sole executrix of her husband's Will, receiving his tenement, the malthouse, barn, stable and back garden, with a half acre of arable land in Coxtalls, for the term of her natural life or for as long as she remains a widow. Later in the same year Anne short was the sole executrix of the Will of her late husband's uncle, William Short of Wootton Bassett, gent.
