At the time of the 1851 England Census David Deering, aged 55 [sic], born in Heathfield Sussex, agricultural labourer, and wife Sarah, aged 45 [sic], born in Heathfield, were living in Mugreed, Heathfield. With them were children (born in Heathfield): Keziah (10), Joseph (9), Thomas (8) and Henry (1).
At the time of the 1861 England Census David Dearing, aged 56, born in Heathfield Sussex, ag. lab., and wife Sarah, aged 46, born in Heathfield, were living in Tower Road, Heathfield. With them were children Thomas (17) of Heathfield, ag. lab., Henry (11) of Waldron, Matilda (2) of Heathfield, and grandson George Dearing (6) of Heathfield.
