At the time of the 1901 Wales Census Edwin Le Ray, aged 43, born in Bristol Glostr., commercial traveller, and wife Alice Maud Le Ray, aged 34, born in Cardiff Glam., were living at 81 Richards Terrace, Roath Glamorgan. With them were son Edwin H P (5) of Cardiff, and Edwin's brother Norman C Le Ray (48) of Bristol, shipbroker's clerk.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between Edwin Le Ray, of Number 81, Richards-terrace, Roath, in the city of Cardiff, Colliery Agent, and Charles Henry Pullin, of the Cedars, Llanishen, in the county of Glamorgan, Colliery Agent, carrying on business as Coal and Pitwood Merchants, at Milners-chambers, George-street, Bute Docks, in the city of Cardiff, under the style of firm of "LE RAY PULLIN AND COMPANY," has been dissolved by effluxion of time as from the 30th day of May, 1908.—Dated the first day of June, 1908.

At the time of the 1911 Wales Census Edwin Le Ray, aged 54, born in Cardiff, colliery agent & coal merchant, and wife of 17 years Alice Maud Le Ray, aged 43, born in Cardiff (mother of two children), were living at 81 Richards Terrace, Roath Glamorgan. With them were sons (born in Cardiff): Edwin Henry Page (15), at school, and Norman Clement (11), at school.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership lately subsisting between the undersigned, Thomas Lloyd Powell, Edwin Le Ray, and William Alfred Noel, under the firm of POWELL, NOEL AND COMPANY, and EDWIN LE RAY AND COMPANY; at 110, Bute-street, Cardiff, in the trades or businesses of Colliery Agents, Coal Exporters, Pitwood Merchants and Shipbrokers, has been dissolved by mutual consent so far as regards the said Edwin Le Ray, who retires from the said firm as from the 21st day of December, 1911. The said Thomas Lloyd Powell and William Alfred Noel will in future carry on the business at the above address under the firm of Powell, Noel and Company.—Dated this 1st day of January, 1912.
