At the time of the 1911 England Census Frank Callaway, aged 34, born in Woolwich Kent, post office (assistant to Secretary's Registry G.P.O.), and wife of 4 years Eleanor Beatrice, aged 33, born in Cambridge (no children), were living at 26 Elliscombe Road, Charlton Kent. With them was Eleanor's mother Amelia Gazley (62) of Cambridge, widow.
In December 1937 Frank Callaway, retired civil servant, was granted Probate of his late wife's personal effects.
At the time of the 1939 Register Frank Callaway (b. 17 Jan 1877), retired civil servant, Post Office, widowed, was living at 22 The Ridgeway, Southend-On-Sea, Essex. At the same address was [daughter] Beatrice H Callaway (b. 2 Apr 1916), single, school teacher.
