In March 1807 Charlotte Blackman was present at the marriage of her brother Benjamin Blackman to Deborah Rickman in Hooe Sussex.
In 1825 Charlotte the wife of David Hyland received £500 from her father's Will.
Writing his Will in March 1836 Benjamin Blackman of Hooe, gent., confirms the bequest made to his sister Charlotte the wife of David Hyland, in their late father's Will.
At the time of the 1841 England Census Charlotte Hyland, aged about 45, and husband David Hyland, aged about 50, farmer, were living in Village, Burwash Sussex. With them were Sophia Hyland (25) and Rebec Hyland (15).
At the time of the 1851 England Census Charlotte Hyland, aged 60, born in Hooe Sussex, and husband David Hyland, aged 64, born in Ticehurst Sussex, farmer of 540 acres employing 19 labourers, were living in farmhouse, Village of Burwash, Sussex. With them were niece Sophia Hyland (40) of Dover Kent, unmarried, assistant housekeeper, visitor Robert Horton (52) of Peasmarsh Sussex, farmer, and two house servants.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Charlotte Hyland, aged 70, born in Hooe Sussex, widow, annuitant, was living in Main Street, Village, Burwash Sussex. With her was sister-in-law Sophia Hyland (86) of Battle Sussex, widow, blind, annuitant, and two lodgers.
